Out of Fashion is a publication and exhibition project by three young photographers, Siru Kivistö, Ida Taavitsainen and Eeva Rinne, who share an interest in fashion as a form of art, craft and communication. Out of Fashion, a unique photographic magazine, is published both in London and in Helsinki, Finland, and an exhibition with the same name was held both in London in May and Helsinki in August 2011.
I was invited to write an article in the publication where I question does fashion belong in a museum, gallery or an exhibition venue for contemporary art?

Visual artist and illustrator Laura Laine had her debut solo show Ghosts in Kunsthalle Helsinki project space Studio on April 29th–May 29th 2011. The exhibition consisted of 9 unseen life-size portraits that were unique prints of pencil and felt-tip pen drawings.
I worked as the curator of the exhibition. Laura and I prepared the show over a year and it was fantastic to work with such a lovely and talented person as she is. Take a look at her stunning portfolio. Since then she has been awarded as the Young Designer of the Year 2011 by Design Forum Finland and the Fashion Illustrator of the year by Elle.
